FORAGING FOR FOOD

We have been giving our baboon best buds, Chuck and Haggis, lots of enrichment while they remain in our quarantine area, and this week we have been hiding bits of food in buckets of sand. This sort of enrichment encourages natural behaviours like foraging and also can be stimulating for them with different textures to play with and move around – these two absolutely loved it!

We try to give as much enrichment as possible to our animals, especially our young orphans so that it boost their natural development and keeps them occupied!
