NEW ARRIVAL: MONKEY FROM MONKEY BAY

This poor little vervet monkey has had a very rough start to life with his mother being killed for bushmeat. Fortunately, he was taken pity on and brought to a woman nearby in Monkey Bay. With advice from us the woman took very good care of him while transport was arranged to get him to us. He arrived a couple of days ago and though teeny tiny at just 4 weeks old, he was in a good general condition. We have since given him an initial health check and have arranged for him to get round the clock comfort, just like he would have gotten from his mother. A very sad story but he’s now quite happy playing and hopping around and we hope to see him grow by the day!
