NEW FRIENDS FOR FRIDAY THE VERVET

Poor Friday arrived at to us in a very bad condition after being found being sold along the road side near Zambia. He had multiple lacerations on his body and a clouded right eye caused by an infection. Through care and treatment we managed to get him in a healthy condition and he was soon integrated with Mr Poop, Kuti and Thursday, before they were ready to be introduced in one of our resident troops.

The integration process was intensive for all of them, getting to know all the other juveniles, but they picked up fast and Friday and his friends are now living within the troop in one of our big natural enclosures. Friday’s a popular monkey and gets along with everyone in the troop, but it’s clear that Kuti is one of his best friends and they’re often seen playing and spending time together!
