Working Together to Tackle Wildlife Crime

The Illegal Wildlife Trade Challenge Fund recently celebrated ten years of supporting innovative and scalable projects that reduce pressure on wildlife from illegal trade.

Weโ€™re proud to be featured in the video produced to celebrate this milestone, highlighting the impact IWT Challenge Fund project activities have had across the globe.

In the video you’ll hear from our Head of Law and Policy, Hannah Supply-Kamange: โ€œIn Malawi, illegal killing and trafficking of endangered wildlife threatens species such as elephants, rhinos, and pangolins. And it is a crisis that also threatens or endangers peopleโ€™s livelihoods as well as their safety. Our project focuses on ensuring deterrent but fair sentencing in wildlife crime. Weโ€™re supporting the Government of Malawi to effectively respond to wildlife crime through every step of the criminal justice process.โ€

We are grateful to the UK Government, through the Illegal Wildlife Challenge Fund, for supporting our nature crime programme.
