attended to the female ostrich at Kuti.  She was chased and bitten by a dog several days before and her left ankle was swollen.  Sedated her and opened the wound to allow the release of fluid and to allow me to flush the wound.  Also started her on oral antibiotics.  After several weeks, her lameness has resolved but she still has scar tissue in the area.
