As the COVID-19 crisis continues to focus global attention on the importance of environmental protection, Lilongwe Wildlife Trust is renewing its commitment to working with partners to safeguard Malawi’s wildlife and wild places.

Now, more than ever before, we need to find new ways of living that better protect our planet and our own survival.

And yet, even in these difficult times, there are reasons for hope. As we release our Impact Report for 2019-20, we reflect on some of the incredible steps Malawi has taken for conservation in the last year, as well as the impact we were able to achieve thanks to support from our partners and donors.

Throughout the year our initiatives continued to protect wildlife, inspire school children, galvanise communities and drive policy change.

We hope you enjoy reading about our work.

“The achievements in this Impact Report are testament not only to our tenacity and dedication, but also that of our many partners: the communities, government agencies, policy-makers, NGOs, donors, volunteers and researchers with whom we have collaborated. Thank you to all of those who have supported our work. Together, we can be a real force for change – indeed, a force for nature.”
