Our new veterinary course for wildlife and small animal surgery is now accepting applications!

From 19 August to 2 September 2024, our two-week course will give you a hands-on introduction to veterinary medicine in Malawi, with a focus on both wildlife and small animals. You’ll be taught by veterinarians from two of Malawi’s leading animal welfare organisations, Lilongwe Wildlife Trust and the Lilongwe Society for the Protection and Care of Animals.
Content overview
- Assist with annual health monitoring program for primates
- Study parasitology, haematology, emergency management, medication, wildlife rehabilitation
- Learn about primate infectious and non-infectious diseases
- Actively participate in anaesthesia and surgical procedures
- Join spaying and neuter surgeries and field clinics
