Here’s one of the Wildlife Centre’s recent intakes, Affe, which is German for monkey. Naming rights were passed on to the German volunteer, currently working at our partner project, Kuti, who helped to rescue him. Some village children were playing with Affe on a piece of string and they were actually very willing to hand him over, saying that we could take better care of him than they could. Affe came in very dehydrated and traumatized but is getting better every day and will soon be transferred to orphan care where he can play and bond with the other young vervets.
