Thanks so much for my time at Vwaza, I had a great time and it was an unforgettable experience!

I was allowed to get involved with the Elephant Research Programme really quickly, which immediately makes you feel part of the project. Elephant Field Research Assistant, Beth, was keen to teach me how to do everything, such as determining the sexes and ages of individual elephants, how to input data onto project spreadsheets, and how to make ID sheets for individual elephants.

Having this support from Beth meant that I was able to carry out all of the tasks, and there was always something that I could be doing. I felt as though I could get involved in all of the aspects of the project that I wanted to. The Department of National Parks and Wildlife guys were great and Beth was talking about trying to get more involved with the kids in the village, which I think is great!
