LILONGWE WILDLIFE CENTRE NEWS:Â Responding to a call from a concerned citizen, yesterday our WERU vet Amanda travelled to Mchinji to pick up a yellow baboon that was destined for the pet trade and take him back to our rescue centre. Fortunately, he seems very bright and alert and is currently settling into his temporary home in our quarantine area.
Once his health checks are complete we’ll be able to introduce him to our other baboons and hopefully be able to one day give him a second chance in the wild. He’s around 7 months old and already quite a character! We’ll keep you posted!
