LILONGWE WILDLIFE CENTRE RECOGNISED AGAIN FOR HIGHEST STANDARDS

Weโ€™re delighted that the Lilongwe Wildlife Centre has been re-accredited for another five years by the Pan African Sanctuary Alliance (PASA)!

PASA is the largest association of wildlife sanctuaries in Africa with a member network of 23 organisations across 13 countries. Lilongwe Wildlife Centre has been accredited by PASA since 2014. To receive accreditation, a wildlife sanctuary must meet a rigorous set of criteria and prove that the highest standards of animal care and conservation practices are being maintained.

Reflecting on PASAโ€™s accreditation, Lilongwe Wildlife Trust CEO Jonny Vaughan said: โ€œThis award is a testament to the dedication and diligence of all the staff, volunteers, and supporters of Lilongwe Wildlife Centre โ€” and I congratulate them all for their continued commitment to Malawiโ€™s biodiversity.โ€

Lilongwe Wildlife Centre has also been accredited by the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries (GFAS) since 2015, and recently received the โ€˜Outstanding International Sanctuaryโ€™ award from GFAS.
