LILONGWE WILDLIFE CENTRE RECOGNISED AGAIN FOR HIGHEST STANDARDS
Weโre delighted that the Lilongwe Wildlife Centre has been re-accredited for another five years by the Pan African Sanctuary Alliance (PASA)!
PASA is the largest association of wildlife sanctuaries in Africa with a member network of 23 organisations across 13 countries. Lilongwe Wildlife Centre has been accredited by PASA since 2014. To receive accreditation, a wildlife sanctuary must meet a rigorous set of criteria and prove that the highest standards of animal care and conservation practices are being maintained.
Reflecting on PASAโs accreditation, Lilongwe Wildlife Trust CEO Jonny Vaughan said: โThis award is a testament to the dedication and diligence of all the staff, volunteers, and supporters of Lilongwe Wildlife Centre โ and I congratulate them all for their continued commitment to Malawiโs biodiversity.โ
Lilongwe Wildlife Centre has also been accredited by the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries (GFAS) since 2015, and recently received the โOutstanding International Sanctuaryโ award from GFAS.
