Elephants and rhinos are not the only ones to suffer from snare injuries. This time our WERU team responded to a report of a waterbuck in a nearby wildlife reserve, in obvious pain and discomfort from a deep snare that made it difficult for him to move around. Project vet, Dr Amanda Salb, was able to remove the wire from this poor antelopes foot and treat the wound. With any luck it will heal nicely and cause this waterbuck no further issues!
