VACANCY: PROGRAMMES MANAGER

Malawi Wildlife Trust (UK charity reg.  1176185) and Lilongwe Wildlife Trust (Malawi CONGOMA reg. C466/2009) are seeking a vibrant individual to join the management team in Malawi. The Programmes Manager will support the Programmes Director to oversee the Trust’s projects and will also manage the partnerships, volunteer and visitor programmes and their associated staff.  Maximising support and ultimately income will be a key focus of the role, and the perfect candidate will be a mature self-starter and an excellent people manager and team player with tons of positive energy and a can-do attitude. They will have a passion for wildlife, enjoy being ‘hands-on’ as well as working behind a desk, excel at building partnerships and relish the opportunity of generating income for a charity that is having a significant impact in the conservation world.

This job would be most suitable for fundraisers looking for additional project management experience but those who have a passion for wildlife and have worked in the corporate world in e.g client development/sales and marketing with a proven track record of building partnerships are also welcome to apply.  A minimum of 5 years work experience is required and, if applying from outside Malawi, experience of living overseas is preferable.
